Betty Draper

- i had this crazy feeling last night that i was pregnant again. i think it was just my digestive system being funny, but man. it was an unhappy moment.

- im getting tons of trouble from my insurance company. i never technically terminated my old insurance, because my entire company was switching. so now, every bill is a mystery. i have to harass them about every line item.

- i had five days off from linus. during which i slept without medication and didnt drink. two days back, and i was all pinched nerves, sleeping pills and wine. motherhood is making me into betty draper.

- speaking of which, im so sad Mad Men is over, even though this season has been touch and go compared to first season.

- i get mad when J is depressed. his life is so close to perfect, i feel like he has no right to be depressed. i realize this is insane.

- my job requires me to go to saks and bendel today. really!

- im giving up on nursing. i cant wait to wear normal clothes again. and to be back in a B cup. and not be waking at 5:45. 6 AM! maybe even 6:10!

- im bummed out that it's taking me so long to get my violin playing back in shape. it'll be awhile before i'm back to where i was.

- im thinking of starting a small business, just for the tax relief.

J wants to be Chuck Bass for holloween. I'm not sure there's enough hair gel in the world, but isn't that the best?

I just re-did my platinum roots, I see Andy Warhol in my future. i really want to be betty draper or joan hollaway, but im not skinny enough for betty and the hair would be hard for joan.

when you think of andy warhol, do you think medium round clear glasses or wayfarer sunglasses? do you think hair parted and combed or crazy? i was thinking briefly about dressing up in boxing shorts and gloves, like that picture of him with basquiat, but maybe that's not iconic enough to be easily gotten.
